LONDON CALLING by Edward Bloor
304 pages "grades 6-9" Enough! Martin has had it with the whole scene at his school. He'd like to transfer to the local public school, but his mom won't hear of it. Kinda-sort of-suspended, Martin opts to pursue "independent study" at home. Living in his basement and hyper-focused on his World War II project, strange things start to happen. Weird dreams, a 1940's radio, and an internet-savvy best friend all have information to offer. Martin isn't looking for a mystery. He's just trying to do his research and stay out of trouble. Past merges with present and fantasy flirts with reality. Can Martin make sense of it all?
